Everybody's Trying to be My Villian

Everybody's trying to be my villian

And I was unaware of the vacancy

Some people predict bad news and hope it never happens

And others are content to assume authority

And maybe someday I will not be destitute

And I will be kicked by a better brand of boot

Oh, everybody's trying to be my villian

The line keeps getting longer and that can not be good

I guess I should be grateful for all the attention

I guess I should be bitter that I'm never understood

I asked them for a hand and they lifted a finger

Due to some concerns about losing their grip

I understood completely and thanked them for the effort

But I'm not one for breaking bottles on a sinken ship

And maybe someday I will not be destitute

And I will be kicked by a better brand of boot

Everybody's trying to be my villian

Everybody's trying to be my villian

Everybody's trying to be my villian

Hilarious...he is a nonchalant sarcastic genius!

A Not To Do List

I kind of stole this from another blog, but in my defense I really really like it.

About Good Music

John Legend's new single "Green Light" featuring Andre 3k
Green Light (Dirty) - John Legend ft Andre 3000
Ol' Johnnie's third album is due to be released in September.

John also has a song with Rich Boy, Lil' Wayne, and Nas called "Ghetto Rich." I'm not sure if its off of Rich Boy's new LP, but the track is fire. All three of the rappers kill their verses and John's husky voice on the chorus just sets everything off. Major Kudos...download immediately.

Garçon

When I look on you a moment,
then I can speak no more,
but my tongue falls silent,
and at once a delicate flame
courses beneath my skin,
and with my eyes I see nothing,
and my ears hum, and a wet sweat
bathes me and a trembling seizes me all over.

Little Boxes on the Hillside

Yesh! New Season of Weeds
Mondays @ 10 on Showtime
A must-see series

Whenever you look at me I wish I was her

So I recently started working at Club Monaco for some change while I am home for the summer, which I have mixed feelings about...but that's besides the point.

While I stand for hours at a time folding clothes and cleaning out dressing rooms, the store plays one playlist over and over again. To my delight, there are a couple of songs that I find myself bopping my head to. One being "Cold Shoulder" by Adele. I had never heard of Adele until about a second ago when I Limewired the song (oops!), but I have quickly learned that her stuff is really good.

Listen!...I love this song.

Few Stats:

  • Born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins on  May 5, 1988 in Enfield, North London
  • British press as called her the "new Amy Winehouse."
  • She graduated from The BRIT School for performing arts & technology in Croydon in May 2006, which was the same performing arts school attended by Amy Winehouse, Katie Melua, and Leona Lewis.
  • Adele then released her debut album 19, which went straight to #1 in the UK charts and was certified platinum within a month of its release.
  • In March 2008 Adele signed to Columbia Records in America, and embarked on her first live shows in North America and Canada

Check out here website...her live preformance of "Hometown Glory" on her homepage is amaaazing. I wouldn't lie.
